Latinologues added to Sí TV’s 2007 Latino Laugh Festival.

Rick Najera’s hit comedy Latinologues has been added to the 2007 Sí TV Latino Laugh Festival for a performance on Friday June 22, 2007 at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Latinologues is a hilarious compilation of sharp comedic monologues about Latino life in America, written, created and directed for stage by award-winning sketch comedy writer/actor Rick Najera. All proceeds of the 2007 Latino Laugh Festival will benefit First Star, a non-profit organization that works to improve change in the U.S. child welfare system.

“The Latino Laugh Festival is one of the first places Latinologues performed and is a continuation of a tradition of showcasing the best Latino talent,” says Latinologues creator, writer and performer Rick Najera (MAD TV, In Living Color). “We are excited to be part of the festival again with guest performers and top new talent.”

Latinologues, an award-winning sketch comedy sensation that recently ran on Broadway directed by Cheech Marin, is the only Latino showcase of its kind in America with a rotating cast. Latinologues was the first all-Latino play in Broadway’s history – Latino created, written, directed, and produced, with an all-Latino cast. The three-day Latino Laugh Festival will present the best Latino comedy in the industry and will feature more than twenty-five performances at eight prime venues.
