The Roof Records & Machete Music develop ‘Mambo Urbano’.

The Roof Records, under the direction of Latin Entertainment Entrepreneur, Anthony Pérez, now believes that the new movement in Urban Music is “Mambo de calle” (Mambo of the streets), an explosive mix of various roots of merengue, adapted to modern times.

The lyrics, as is in Reggaeton and Hip Hop, reflect situations of the daily life, which makes it even more attractive to the young latin community, which can identify with the music.

In the past two years, away from the music business, Pérez dedicated himself to find the next rhythm that would change the market, and released the tv show “The Factory by The Roof”, where he realized the strength of the genre, and opted to provide unconditional support for it.

The first compilation is currently on sale and is titled “Mambo Factory Vol. 1”, which counts with the support and distribution of Machete Music. In this first album, the best new artists from Santo Domingo showcase their talent, such as, DJ Ricky, Pacheman & Griselito, Whistyn & Iky rap, Winston Paulino, among others.

Most recently, International artists such as Tego Calderón, Randy Nota Loca, Héctor el Father, among others, have also participated in the recording of this popular new rhythm.

In addition, with the support of Gustavo López, Presidente of Machete Music, The Roof Records will now release a new album by “Pacheman y Griselito lo ma ke to”, that contains featurings by Tego Calderón, Roberto del Castillo & Randy Nota Loca.

At the same time, The Roof Records is currently working with White Lion Productions on management and booking of the artists, alongside Elias Acosta & Ricardo Cordero.
