Lápiz wins Gold @ FIAP.

Lápiz has won Gold at the FIAP in Argentina. The FIAP is the most important Ibero-American advertising festival, with thousands of entries from all countries in Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and the Latino market in the United States.

The award was given to the “Cowboys” spot that Lápiz developed for the 23rd. Chicago Latino Film Festival. It was created by Andres Arlia, Sr. Copywriter and Sebastian Pallares, Sr. Art Director. The category in which it won gold was the “low budget” category for creative excellence.

“Cowboys is a little story about filmmaking and the Latino culture. We had no money at all for production, but we had more than enough passion. It paid off,” said Laurence Klinger, SVP Chief Creative Officer of Lápiz.

Previous to the announcement of the award, “Cowboys” was one of two Lápiz finalists at the FIAP. The other finalist was “Technical Difficulties” also created for the 23rd. Chicago Latino Film Festival, created and produced by Oscar Contreras, Art Director and Natalia Mendez, Copywriter.
