March 9, 2007
V-me announced the formation of a new sales team responsible for all national on-air, online and event sponsorship and underwriting. To lead this effort, the network has appointed Michael Ginn to Senior Vice President, Sponsorship and Sales and Linda Reddington to Vice President, Sponsorship Sales and Cross- Platform Solutions.
Mr. Ginn served as the vice president for media sales for Reactrix Systems building a national advertiser base and creating the business model for the interactive/experiential media network. Prior to this, he was instrumental in the development and launch of Wannado Entertainment, the Children’s entertainment company built on the concept role-playing, where he led the sales and business development efforts. Earlier in his career, Ginn spent 14 years with Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc and held several increasingly senior positions helping lead Turner’s Latin America expansion of CNN International, Cartoon Network, TNT Network, and CNN en Español. For V-me, Ginn will work closely with national advertisers, agencies and senior V-me leadership developing all national sponsorship opportunities and systems.
Reddington comes to V-me from Court TV, where as vice-president, online product & sales development she directed the development of sponsorship opportunities and sales on the networks’ three web sites and led new On-Air/Online synergy and cross-platforms initiatives. Prior to that, as vice president, integrated sales and marketing for Comedy Central (which she joined as part of the original launch team), she grew national ad sales while developing customized sponsorship opportunities and promotional partnerships. Reddington will work closely with V-me’s national sponsors to develop integrated solutions that cut across V-me on-air, online and in-market and reach the Latino community in a new way.
“Michael and Linda bring diverse experience in building network advertising from the ground-up. They will lead the charge for V-me’s national sponsorship development working closely with our programming, marketing and online teams to craft compelling and impactful sponsorship opportunities that align national advertisers with V-me’s mission,” commented Carmen DiRienzo, president of V-me.
“V-me will connect marketers and advertisers to this vitally important market segment through quality entertainment and a mission to impact and engage,” commented Ginn. “V-me is unique among Hispanic media because it offers corporations the platform to make a difference in people’s lives while also making a positive impact on their bottom line. Linda and I are eager to work with corporations who want to align themselves with this high-quality new media environment.”
