Ernesto A. Sanchez has been named editor of peopleenespanol.com it was announced today by People en Español managing editor Peter Castro. He is charged with overseeing the magazine’s website as it moves to broaden its appeal to a bi-lingual audience beginning late April.

Sanchez comes to peopleenespanol.com most recently from TV Notas, a Spanish-language entertainment magazine where he served as executive editor. Prior to TV Notas, he worked at Univision.com where he held a variety of roles including special contents editor, weekend portal editor and music managing editor. In 2004, Sanchez was editor-in-chief of Mira magazine based in New York City.

“Ernesto comes to peopleenespanol.com with a tremendous amount of experience in Hispanic entertainment news and the digital space,” said Peter Castro. “As our website moves to include a bi-lingual component, Ernesto’s skills in celebrity journalism and breaking news, will lend a hand as we transform peopleenespanol.com in 2007.”
