‘El Hijo del Santo’ becomes TuTV’s new image.

TuTv announced that its contemporary and classic Spanish-language movie network, De Película, has signed a contract with famous wrestler and movie star “El Hijo del Santo” (The Son of the Saint) to become the network’s official image in 2007.
“El Hijo del Santo” is a Mexican super hero icon that has been admired and beloved for generations. Not only does he embody all the positive family values De Película promotes, but he also is the only human super hero alive,” said Armando Escandón, producer of De Película.
“El Hijo del Santo” started his career in the 1980’s in an effort to continue his father’s legacy, “El Santo”. El Santo achieved icon status through a successful wrestling career and starring appearances in nearly 60 motion pictures over a period of three decades. El Santo, is perhaps the most famous and iconic of all Mexican “luchadores” (wrestlers) and has been referred to as the greatest legend in Mexican sports.
