4th Annual Latino DVD Conference.

Hollywood is finally recognizing Latinos. But the talent of Latinos behind and in front of the camera isn’t new to the home entertainment industry.

For the fourth consecutive year, Home Media Magazine is hosting its fourth annual Latino DVD Conference, a full day of informational presentations and discussions dedicated to the booming Latino home entertainment market in the United States.

Slated for Tuesday, April 10 at the Bel Age Hotel in West Hollywood, the conference is produced by Home Media Magazine in cooperation with DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group, The Hollywood Reporter and the Entertainment Merchants Association.

Latino DVD 4 will focus on the growth and evolution of this market, which is nearing $900 billion in purchasing power. In addition to an information-packed market research session, product showcase luncheon and talent-talk panel with filmmakers, Latino DVD 4 will feature a keynote address from a celebrity speaker, along with the Third Annual Latino DVD Awards, which attracted attention from dozens of news outlets around the world.

More than 250 attendees are expected to attend, including top executives with the major studios, independents, distributors, key retailers and other industry leaders.

“Latino DVD is an ever-evolving business that continues to grow,” said Angelique Flores, executive conference producer and managing editor of Home Media Magazine. “With the content available and with both Latinos and non-Latinos hungry for this kind of entertainment, this year’s conference has much to explore, from digital delivery and marketing to the growing niches under the escalating Latino DVD banner.”

The event is open to the trade only. Advance registrations fees are $245 for DEG and EMA members and $295 for nonmembers. The Hollywood Reporter subscribers also are entitled to the $245 discounted registration fee. Advance registration ends on April 3, 2007. After this date, registration fees are $295 for DEG/EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers and $345 for nonmembers and nonsubscribers. Special press registration is available to credentialed media by contacting Vicky Bui at vb**@qu*****.com or 714/338-6734.
