Ritmoson Latino to televise ‘El Mundial de la Salsa 2007’.

TuTv announced that Ritmoson Latino, the celebrity-driven Latin music and lifestyle channel, will exclusively televise the first “El Mundial de la Salsa 2007” (The 2007 Salsa World Festival) on February 10, 2007 starting at 2:00pm (EST), to more than 40 countries around the world.

“El Mundial de la Salsa 2007” will gather legendary talent and newcomers from all over Latin America, among them, Grammy winner Willy Chirino, Grupo Niche, Tito Rojas, José Alberto “El Canario,” Avana, DJ Alberth Moreno, Michael Stuart and Premio Lo Nuestro nominee Marlon. The eight-hour-plus musical marathon will take place at Amelia Earhart Park in the city of Hialeah in south Florida.

The exclusive coverage will be hosted by Vanessa and Makala, anchor of Ritmoson Latino’s award-winning entertainment news magazine show “Fama.” In addition, the hosts will conduct behind the scenes interviews with performers and talk to concert goers about their experience. Additionally, Ritmoson Latino’s reporter Fernanda, will double up with Vanessa and Malaka providing viewers with on-going special backstage reports.

Ritmoson Latino is distributed in the U.S. by TuTv, a joint venture between Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications.
