The FCC has decided not to renew the Telemundo or Univision licenses to broadcast?

Imagine the Federal Communications Commission, a US Government agency, decided not to renew Telemundo or Univision licenses to broadcast.

That would put our ad industry into an UPROAR! Well, that is not the case here in the United States.

But in Venezuela, the government of Hugo Chavez has decided not to renew the television broadcast license of Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV). The RCTV was one of the first commercial television licenses in Venezuela granted in the early 1950s.

Imagine the impact on the advertising industry in Venezuela.

We do not get into political issues here at HispanicAd.com, but this one that could not be left without being brought to the forefront of our Industry.

We hope that the Chavez government reconsiders their position and this is resolved in the best interest of the Venezuelan people.
