Bardasano – Executive VP of Network Entertainment @ Telemundo.

Telemundo announced the appointment of Carlos R. Bardasano to the position of Executive Vice President, Network Entertainment, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Telemundo President, Don Browne, to whom Bardasano will report.
“We are very excited to have Carlos back in the Telemundo family,” said Browne. “His respect, experience, and knowledge in the industry are exceptional. I am confident that under his leadership our Entertainment area will continue to grow and flourish.”
In his new role, Bardasano will oversee Programming, On-Air Promotions, Specials and the network’s innovative educational program, Taller Telemundo. He will also be responsible for supervising all programming strategy and on-air content, closely interfacing with the Development and Production teams, as well as the Research and Marketing departments.
Bardasano was most recently Vice President of Programming Development of Univision Television Networks where he was in charge of building programming for Univision’s broadcast and cable networks. Prior to Univision, he held the post of Vice President of Programming for Telemundo, responsible for all primetime programming and production. Among his many accomplishments are establishing co-production deals with international producers and broadcasters such as RTI, Tepuy, and Globo, among others, as well as the acquisition of the highly-rated novela, “Betty, la Fea”.
Bardasano began his television career at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, working on NBC primetime sitcoms. He later held supervisory and executive positions at Paramount Pictures and Columbia Tristar International Television, also working on primetime programs.
