November 4, 2006
During the recent Association of National Advertisers Multicultural Marketing Conference Hispanic Marketers of the Year Awards in Los Angeles, California, CityReach Latino announced that Stuart Kanchuger, AVP – Latino/Hispanic Segment Manager with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will receive $500,000 in Hispanic media for 2007 running on CityReach Latino’s national network in the Top 11 U.S. Hispanic markets. CityReach Latino, a non-traditional media network targeting the Latino consumer, hosted the first-of-its-kind media sweepstakes in celebration of the one-year anniversary.
“On behalf of Wells Fargo, I am extremely honored to receive this prize to support something we simply love doing: increasing awareness of the role that owning a home plays in helping all people reach their financial dreams,” Kanchuger said. “As a financial services provider – and more specifically a home mortgage lender – we have numerous programs in place that recognize the home is truly the center of financial security. And, over the past several years, we have focused our efforts on reaching out to not only Latinos, but to all people. With this prize from CityReach Latino, we now have a new avenue to tell our story and we look forward to the opportunities this initiative can create for Latino families in helping them to achieve the dream of homeownership.”
The CityReach Latino 1st Anniversary Media Sweepstakes allowed the company to reach out to agencies and brand managers who are serious about reaching the Hispanic consumer. The sweepstakes was open to brand managers, advertising agencies and media buying companies who place $1 million or more in Hispanic advertising.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response we received for our 1st Anniversary Sweepstakes, which we believe is the first half-million dollar promotion of its kind with a focus on Hispanic media,” said Terri Simpson, president and CEO, City Reach Latino. “We are extremely happy that through the sweepstakes winnings, Wells Fargo will have the opportunity to educate the first-time homebuyer on reaching their financial dreams of owning a home.”
