ZGS Communications announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire six low-power television stations which will extend and enhance its already significant television operations. Five of the new stations are located in Florida, including WDYB-LP channel 53, WMVJ-LP channel 29, WPXG-LP channel 31, all Class A stations serving the Orlando market, as well as WWWF-LP channel 47 in Tallahassee and a construction permit for W22DB channel 22 in Gainesville. ZGS will also acquire WKYV-LP channel 45 in Richmond, Virginia.
“We are extremely excited about the addition of these stations to our station group. The new stations in Orlando will significantly enhance the existing coverage of WTMO Orlando and the stations in Tallahassee and Gainesville will extend our already strong operations in Florida. WKYV in Richmond will supplement our mid-Atlantic footprint,” said ZGS President Ronald J. Gordon.
