September 2, 2006
Al Día Newspaper in North Texas, is celebrating its third anniversary on September 29, 2006. “Al Día has increasingly become part of the daily lives of Dallas-Ft. Worth Hispanics and we look forward to the opportunity of continuing to serve the community,” said Gilbert Bailón, publisher and editor of Al Día. To mark the occasion, Al Día sponsored or participated in more than twenty events during September and continuing through Hispanic Heritage month, supporting great programs from Mi Escuelita Preschool, an early childhood program that develops learning skills for at-risk children, to the 79th Annual Diez y Seis de Septiembre Festival at the historic Pike Park. Al Día is also hosting a job fair that creates a personal environment for companies to interact with potential employees at Mountain View College on Thursday, October 12th.
In addition, Al Día will proudly debut two new television spots, produced by local agency The Creative Exchange, on local Spanish-language television this Friday. They can also be viewed on Al Día’s website at www.aldiatx.com/marketing/familia.mov and www.aldiatx.com/marketing/staff.mov .
The spots combine consumer insights with Al Día’s strength in providing the most local news including health, education, immigration, and entertainment. The first spot focuses on the relationship and engagement of a local family with the newspaper while the second showcases Al Día’s award-winning editors and staff. Both build on Al Día’s “Most Local. Most Complete. Most Read” positioning.
