Yahoo! Telemundo takes Soccer Fans inside their favorite teams.

Yahoo! Telemundo unveiled the Liga Mexicana (Mexican Soccer League) fan site on Yahoo! Telemundo Deportes. In addition to offering general league related news, photos and real-time results, the new site features dedicated pages for each of the 18 Mexican League teams that highlight news, statistics and rankings specific to each team.
“The new Liga Mexicana site offers the kind of comprehensive and in-depth material that allows us to take users deep into the game and teams they so love and venerate,” said Peter Blacker, senior vice president, Digital Media, Telemundo Network Group. “The team-specific pages will not only allow fans to closely follow their favorite teams, but also enable them to share their excitement with others who share their passion via polls and other community features,” added Jose Rivera-Font, general manager, Yahoo! North Latin America.
The Liga Mexicana site will include detailed league information and background, feature news on the latest matches, polls, game calendars per team, and even highlight goals made per player per team. Community features coming soon include Yahoo! Forum and Yahoo! Groups.
The fan site was launched in conjunction with the start of this year’s Superliga fantasy games. The first is Superliga Mexicana, which follows the Mexican league tournament.
