July 7, 2006
McDonald’s is the number one fast food brand among people with kids in their household, according to consumer research firm Scarborough Research. Almost one-third (31 percent) of U.S. adults with children ate at a McDonald’s during the past week.
Consumers with children in the household are 30 percent more likely than all consumers nationally to have eaten at McDonald’s during the past seven days. Burger King and Wendy’s, where 13 percent of people with kids ate during the past week, round out the top three fast food brands for people with children. Nationally, seventy-two percent of all consumers with kids in the household ate at a fast food restaurant during the past week – totaling more than 65 million people.
