Frutézia ‘Manicurates’ a traveling exhibit of creative Nail Art Designs.
July 1, 2006
Frutézia, a low alcohol white wine beverage, announced the Fresh Style at Your Fingertips exhibition, a showcase of original designs by some of today’s most talented nail artists. With more women trading in the traditional French manicure for colorful nail art designs, beautiful airbrushed treatments and other 3-D creations, fingernails have become the latest fashion accessory to help women express their individuality and personal style. The Fresh Style at Your Fingertips exhibit celebrates the creative expression, freshness, innovation and detail that go into creating art on one of the world’s smallest canvases.
To bring the best of urban salon culture to the rest of America, Frutézia will be inviting the public to participate in the nail salon experience as it creates an urban salon in a gallery setting. Along with viewing award-winning designs on display, guests will have the unique opportunity to receive nail art designs performed by local nail technicians. During the free, open-to-the public receptions in each city, Frutézia will be served alongside exotic “finger” foods. Between July and September 2006, the Fresh Style at Your Fingertips exhibit will tour to the following venues:
Atlanta, GA, July 27-30, 2006
Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, 535 Means Street
Houston, TX, August 8-10, 2006
DiverseWorks, 1117 East Freeway
New York, NY, September 12-16, 2006
El Museo del Barrio, 1230 Fifth Avenue
Miami, FL, September 26-29, 2006
Miami Light Project, 3000 Biscayne Blvd
To assemble the Fresh Style at Your Fingertips exhibition, Frutézia is challenging three “tough as nails” judges including Judy Lessin, Beauty Editor, Nails Magazine; Amy Lin, celebrity manicurist and, Frutézia’s Fresh Flavor expert to identify the most cutting-edge designs to feature in the traveling exhibition. Five winning nail artists will receive a $1,000 grant to continue pursuing their passion for this growing cultural phenomenon.
“Similar to wine, nail art can be a reflection of one’s taste preferences, personal style and individuality,” said Mehra. “We are proud to bring positive attention to the talented style makers whose expressive nail art designs are deemed fresh and full of flavor, just like Frutézia.”
