Mexicanal adds Aguascalientes programming.

Mexicanal has announced its agreement with Aguascalientes TV to provide local programming from the region to Mexicans living in the United States. The official signing ceremony—which took place in Aguascalientes on Wednesday, June 21st—was attended by the city’s Governor, Luis Armando Reynoso Fermat.

Mexicanal’s deal with Aguascalientes TV adds another region to the channel’s current lineup of offerings. Available through the Directv service, Mexicanal currently provides its viewers programming from a wide range of regions throughout Mexico, including Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, State of Mexico, Nuevo Leon and San Luis Potosi.

“As we continue to seek out the best programming partners, we are delighted and proud to add Aguascalientes TV to the array of regions represented, as this furthers our quest to provide more and more Mexicans living in the U.S. a connection to their home towns,” said Maruchi Urquiaga, MEXICANAL’s General Project Director and Castalia’s Senior Vice President, Programming & Production.

Offering culture, education and entertainment to its audience through unique local programs, Aguascalientes TV will join Mexicanal’s lineup on August 1st.
