Azteca America presents special coverage of Mexico 2006 Elections.

Azteca America will have comprehensive coverage available in the United States of Mexico’s 2006 presidential, gubernatorial and congressional elections to be held on July 2.
Starting on June 26, Noticieros Azteca America will transmit for the entire week from the nation’s heart, the Zócalo, live at 11 pm East and Pacific/ 10 Central, with anchor Jose Martín Sámano. Aside from being the traditional center of the country, the Zócalo is an important site for campaign rallies of all national political parties.
The weeklong special edition of Noticieros Azteca America will feature special election reports, including a historical reflection on presidential elections in Mexico, top issues of foreign policy, a special look at the five presidential candidates, as well as the issues the economy, voting abroad and security. The newscasts will also feature the support of Fuerza Informativa Azteca, a leading news service in Latin America and Mexico.
On Election Day, July 2, Noticieros Azteca America will broadcast live from the Federal Electoral Institute for immediate updates on official results, as well as live links with headquarters of national parties and exclusive interviews. The special live transmission will be anchored by José Martín Sámano and Armando Guzmán, with political analysis by Erick Guerrero and the nationwide support of Fuerza Informativa Azteca. The transmission begins at 5 pm Pacific / 7 pm Central / 8 pm Eastern standard times.
