May 26, 2006
Accentmarketing developed English and Spanish language television spots titled “Clones” for the U.S. Navy.
Shot on location at the Naval bases in San Diego, aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard and the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, the new campaign is directed at young Hispanics, communicating the many advancement opportunities the U.S. Navy offers, such as exiting careers, high tech training and education. It is intended to reach individuals looking to benefit from the breadth of career opportunities offered by the Navy.
Set to upbeat original music, the spot uses a technology called repeat capture shooting to show multiple job opportunities through the eyes of one person. The concept shows one face in multiple jobs as a visual analogy underscoring the wide variety of job opportunities available in the Navy.
The thirty second spots will air on Spanish-language national TV networks and cable stations, as well as in English language cable stations that target Hispanics such as Si TV and American Latino/Latin Nation (AIM Television).
“Using a series of fast-paced shots, the campaign demonstrates that the U.S. Navy provides a hands-on experience for young Hispanics to realize their potential and do great things.” said Lisette Hoyo, EVP Client Services, Accentmarketing.
“In order to show the unlimited career opportunities available in the Navy, we show one person holding multiple jobs during various scenarios, conveying that in the Navy you can choose many different paths to success and nothing is out of your reach.” said Juan Carlos Piedrahita, VP Group Creative Director.
The creative and production team behind the Navy’s new Hispanic spot are Juan Carlos Piedrahita, Vice President Group Creative Director; Alexandra Villarreal, Senior Art Director; Hans Trujillo, Senior Copy Writer and Rudy Leschhorn, Producer, lead by the account services team of Lisette Hoyo, Executive Vice President of Client Services; Yaidi Sotolongo, Account Supervisor and Cristy Gaston, Account Executive.
