Maná at Premios Juventud 2006.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that the immensely popular and influential Mexican rock group Maná will make a rare television appearance to debut their newest single “Labios Compartidos” on the network’s 3rd edition of its widely acclaimed “Premios Juventud” youth awards show airing live from Miami on Thursday, July 13th at 8pm Eastern (7pm Central) on the Univision Television Network.

One of Latin music’s most popular super-groups, Maná has sold over 19 million albums worldwide and this will be their first nationally televised performance in three years. The “Premios Juventud” performance will feature the worldwide live television premiere of their new single and comes just a few weeks before the simultaneous release of their highly anticipated CD “Amar es Combatir” in 40 countries.

In keeping with the “Premios Juventud” mission of honoring the artists and other figures who have set a positive example for today’s Hispanic youth, Maná will also receive the coveted “Supernova” award. The group will be honored for their efforts to utilize the power of music to raise the consciousness and inspire millions of young people to make the world a better place.

“Premios Juventud” is Spanish-language television’s first ever awards show where Hispanic youth honor their idols in the areas of Film, Music, Sports, Fashion and Pop Culture. Last year’s sophomore edition was seen by nearly 9 million Hispanic viewers and was one of the most-watched specials on Spanish-language television.
