Cárdenas – Executive Creative Director @ La Agencia de Orcí.

La Agencia de Orcí & Asociados announced the appointment of Ricardo Cárdenas to executive creative director. This appointment comes after a 90-day tenure with Orcí as creative director. In the position of executive creative director, Cárdenas is responsible for leading the Orcí creative team in creative strategy, concept development and creative execution. He is also charged with taking his team of writers, art directors and producers to the highest level of performance in meeting their client’s business objectives.
Cárdenas has over 14 years experience in the world of advertising. He has held the position of creative director at the Mexican offices of BBDO, LEO Burnett, and Ogilvy & Mather, the top three most renowned agencies in Mexico.
In the past, Cárdenas has created campaigns for major brand names that include McDonalds and Land Rover. With Orcí, he will oversee the creative of major brands that include Brawny towels, Angel Soft tissue paper, Honda, Splenda, Lactaid Verizon and Allstate.
Cárdenas’ work has been recognized with numerous creative awards. Recently, his work brought home a gold lion in print and silver in out-of-home at the Cannes Lions festival. Cárdenas won a grand prix in print and a bronze in TV at the El Sol Festival, before known as the San Sebastian Festival. He also won a gold and silver at the FIAP Festival and the grand prix for Internet and print at the Circulo Creativo de Mexico.
