SÍ TV Upfront 2006-2007.
April 22, 2006
Sí TV announced at their Upfront Presentation a new lineup of seven new series and specials aimed at its 18-to-34 year-old audience. Sí TV’s programming reflects the needs and interests of the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population, Hispanics, attracting advertisers to an emerging demographic that has been untapped in the past.
“Advertisers are now realizing in greater numbers than ever that there has been a lot of wasted time and money trying to reach young Latinos through Spanish-language networks,” said Michael Schwimmer, chief executive officer of Sí TV. “Sí TV recognizes, and all the independent research supports, that young Latinos want compelling, culturally relevant entertainment they can enjoy in the same language they use to enjoy the rest of their media — English.”
Sí TV’s new original programming includes:
Dating Factory
Sí TV’s first dating show hosted by actor and TV personality Mario Lopez is a fast and fun half-hour confection where one sexy single chooses from a baker’s dozen of available hotties who are competing for a chance to go out on a tantalizing date.
Heir Time
An hour special profiling Bacardi heiress, Carolina Bacardi, and her quest to become a household personality who just happens to have a famous last name. Armed with the right accessories: a plastic surgeon boyfriend, a socialite advisor, an acting coach and the right C-List celebrities, Carolina throws a special party to celebrate…herself; the first step to becoming a true media star.
Unacceptable Behavior
Back for a second season, Sí TV’s first fully-scripted comedy show delivers more laughs and one-of-a-kind performances in original, off-the-wall and totally irreverent sketches.
Road Dogz
A reality special about the adventures of three Latino working comics seeking out a living on a humbling tour of one-night gigs.
reGroup
A one hour reality series about the struggles of a Latino boy band (C-Note) looking for their big break. As a last resort they take on an untried manager (ex-boy band member Eric Michael Estrada from O-Town) working under the supervision of boy band impresario Lou Pearlman.
Flow & Tell
A new series that lets viewers speak directly into the show’s camera expressing their deepest thoughts, rants and opinions on the issues that truly affect their lives. These rants are then linked with today’s hottest music videos to create a one-of-a-kind interactive narrative. Complete with broadband participation through SiTV.com, it’s the ultimate TV chat room for the Sí TV audience.
Styleyes Miami
