Verdeja – Sr. Advisor Editorial Televisa.

Editorial Televisa recently announced the appointment of Sam Verdeja, former President and CEO of Hispanic Publishing Group (HPG), as Senior Advisor to its newly acquired properties: Hispanic Magazine, Hispanic Trends and Hispanic Online. Verdeja, who led HPG for 7 years, was instrumental in the positioning of Hispanic Magazine as the leading English-language magazine in the U.S. Hispanic market, and further launched Hispanic Trends magazine, a joint effort with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his role as a print media pioneer, Verdeja is renowned throughout the industry as a strong participant in community affairs, where he has invested many years of service aimed at improving the quality of life and enhancing human relations. Prior to his role at Hispanic Publishing Group, Verdeja was Vice President for Marketing Services and Community Relations in the Miami Herald, and co-author of “Marketing y Gestion de Periodicos” (Newspaper Marketing and Management). Verdeja also established his community presence as Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Red Cross. Following the announcement, Verdeja acknowledged the benefits arising from the acquisition of HPG and his new role: “This move will allow Editorial Televisa to fully integrate the operations of HPG within the organization and maximize the synergies of both companies. The future of these publications is outstanding.”
