Guasch – Director of Production and Operations @ Azteca America.

Azteca America announced the appointment of Jose Luis Guasch as Director of Production and Operations. Mr. Guasch will report to company CEO Adrian Steckel and be based at our recently-established operations center in Los Angeles.

Mr. Guasch counts with 39 years of high-level television operations experience in Mexico and the US Hispanic market. He got his start in the industry at Televisa precursor Telesistema, working his way up the ranks to become Vice President of Channels 2, 4, 5 and 9. However, his longest responsibility within the company was as Vice President of Televisa’s Northeast Division, which includes Tijuana, Mexicali, Hermosillo and Ciudad Juarez.

He also served in the legal and international affairs area, as well as holding marketing and production responsibilities, in addition to general manager positions at key local stations in Guadalajara and Tijuana.

Mr. Guasch will be responsible for all television production at Azteca America, including news operations, which were entirely transferred to Los Angeles in February of this year.
