Telemundo’s ‘Tierra de Pasiones’ launched Hollywood style.

Telemundo and its all-star talent took Los Angeles by storm in true Hollywood style this past week to celebrate the must-see television event of the season, the launch of Telemundo’s newest original production, “Tierra de Pasiones.” The cast of “Tierra de Pasiones” including mega-stars Saul Lisazo and Gabriela Spanic, along with Francisco Gattorno, Catherine Siachoque and renowned actor Hector Suarez were present for the three-day extravaganza that began Wednesday, February 15 through Saturday, February 18.

Telemundo took over Universal Studios CityWalk’s Cinema on Saturday, February 18 for its first of a kind, red carpet world premiere screening of the first episode of “Tierra de Pasiones.” This event will give 500 lucky contest winners the chance to attend a ‘Hollywood-style’ premiere and mingle with the stars of “Tierra de Pasiones,” Gabriela Spanic, Saul Lisazo, Hector Suarez and Catherine Siachoque. Fellow cast members, Ariel Lopez Padilla, Sergio Catalan and Ricardo Chavez will also be on the red carpet; as well as other stars like Miguel Varoni, Ana de la Reguera, Alejandro Chaban, Candela Ferro, Eduardo Xol, Erick Elias, Esteban Arce, Monica Noguera, and Nick Rodriguez. NBC stars Jerry O’Connell (“Crossing Jordan”), Silvana Arias (“Passions”), as well as Martha Madison and Rachel Melvin (“Days of Our Lives”) will also be present for this Telemundo star-studded event. The novela’s first episode will be subtitled in English for this event.

Kick-Off with “Rumbo al Mundial” (Wednesday, February 15) Telemundo takes over Los Angeles’ Memorial Coliseum for another high-impact game broadcasted in “Rumbo al Mundial” featuring Mexico vs. South Korea. Approximately 60,000 soccer fans will have the chance to see a preview of Telemundo’s original “Tierra de Pasiones” as well as enjoy the on-ground presence of Telemundo’s local talent who will be signing autographs and giving away Telemundo branded premiums. KVEA’s “Tu Eres Telemundo” bus will also be at the game inviting people to preview “Tierra de Pasiones.”

“Tierra de Pasiones” Press Conference (Thursday, February 16) Telemundo hosts its official “Tierra de Pasiones” press conference at the Napa Valley Grille Restaurant in Westwood at 12 noon. Saul Lisazo, Gabriela Spanic, Francisco Gattorno, and Catherine Siachoque will take the stage to answer any questions and offer one-on-one interviews with press members.

Pasion por la Educacion (Passion for Education)(Friday, February 17) “Tierra de Pasiones'” leading actors, Gabriela Spanic and Saul Lisazo will be visiting “Belmont High School” in East LA to speak with students about the advantages of continuing their education, staying in school and getting their diploma. This activity is part of Telemundo’s PSA Campaign “El Poder de Saber,” (sister campaign of NBC’s “The More You Know”) which, now in its third year, concentrates in sending a message to parents and students about the benefits of receiving an education. Spanic and Lisazo are both part of this year’s “El Poder de Saber” campaign which will begin airing later this March.
