Boxeo de Campeones @ Fox Sports en Español.

Fox Sports en Español announced it has acquired the exclusive Spanish-language television rights for Boxeo de Campeones, a new weekly boxing series. Featuring live boxing and Spanish-language commentary by Manuel Medina, the first exclusive telecast will air live tonight at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.

“The acquisition of Boxeo de Campeones is the perfect complement to Fox Sports en Español’s year-round coverage of boxing,” said David Sternberg, executive vice president and general manager of Fox Sports en Español. “We are delighted to be the exclusive Spanish-language carrier for this exciting series and look forward to continuing to offer Latino sports fans more hours of live sports programming each year than any other network.”

Boxeo de Campeones is a weekly two-hour boxing series airing exclusively in Spanish every Friday at 11 p.m. ET on Fox Sports en Español. Telecasts will air live every other week while each weekly program will consist of a minimum of 2-3 fights, including on 10-round main event. Joe Martinez will provide ring announcements while play-by-play commentators will vary from week to week.

In addition to Boxeo de Campeones, Fox Sports en Español’s weekly coverage of boxing includes Corona Boxing, Cinturon de Oro, Guerreros Aztecas, and Showtime Championship Boxing.
