Objetivo Fama series to hit 19 cities for new season.

The latest edition of TeleFutura Network’s immensely popular singing competition “Objetivo Fama” (Objective: Fame) has been slated to debut on January 29th at 6pm ET/PT (5pm CT/MT) and will feature a recap of the auditions held in 19 cities across the U.S. and Puerto Rico to select the 20 finalists to be featured on the show. Beginning last October and culminating in December, auditions were held in San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Orlando, Miami, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Tucson, Phoenix, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Fresno, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico.
A ratings success that reached over 8 million viewers last year, “Objetivo Fama” pits young Hispanic singers in a competition that will result in one of them receiving a recording contract with the nation’s leading Latin music company, Univision Music Group. The winner will be determined by fans casting their votes via toll-free telephone numbers or sending text messages via Univision Móvil.
This edition of the program also features a new host as popular Mexican singer/actress Yuri joins the “Objetivo Fama” team. Having practiced every aspect of the performing arts including song, dance, acting and emceeing, Yuri’s reputation as an all-around artist of the highest caliber and brings more than 29 years of experience to share with the 20 aspiring contestants.
“Objetivo Fama” will also feature the performances of some of the hottest music superstars in the Latin recording industry.
