Grupo Latino de Radio offers Mexico’s First Division soccer matches.

Starting January 21st, advertisers will have the opportunity to sponsor Mexico’s First Division soccer matches using product integration and title sponsorships within the actual games, through Grupo Latino de Radio (“GLR”).

The broadcasts will be produced by Estadio W, directly from Mexico, exclusively for U.S. Hispanic radio listeners. The ability to specifically address this audience in a fully integrated way is an indicator of the significant growth of Hispanic radio, as GLR is now offering the advertiser’s messages and information to be as relevant as possible to the listener in their direct marketplace or environment, while originating the sports broadcast from another country.

GLR will kick off the 2nd half of the 2005-2006 season (“Torneo de Clausura 2005-2006”) this coming January 21, 2006, airing 2-4 matches per week. The season includes 17 “Jornadas”, or weeks, and GLR will broadcast games with some of the most coveted teams in the league. The broadcasts will be delivered by the best known personalities of soccer and sports from Estadio W. The team, made up of more than 40 renowned sports personalities, is lead by Francisco Javier Gonzalez, one of the most popular and respected sportscasters in Mexico.

The GLR radio broadcasts mark the first time that First Division soccer matches are produced specifically for the U.S. Hispanic audience, taking into account the needs of US Hispanic advertisers. This is a first-time opportunity for integrated sponsorships.

In making the announcement, CEO of GLR Networks, Sonia Dula, stated, “We’re pleased that we can deliver to radio stations in the U.S. the most popular sport for Mexican fans living in America. It’s a great opportunity for advertisers to reach Mexican soccer aficionados through U.S. Hispanic radio”.

Francisco Javier Gonzalez of Estadio W, also added, “We are excited to reach listeners outside of Mexico through GLR Networks. Inside and outside Mexico, we all share the same enthusiasm for this fantastic sport.”
