Discovery en Español Profiles Outstanding Leaders.

Discovery en Español celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring the extraordinary achievements of many outstanding Hispanics in the United States. These leaders discuss their remarkable careers and share inspirational insights into their lives through a series of short, original interview segments, airing on the network during the month-long observance.
From science to education to journalism and the arts, Discovery honors those who have made a difference in their communities and a positive impact on the country as a whole. Prominent Hispanics being profiled include:
— Frank Chang-Dìaz, first Hispanic astronaut to fly in space;
— Ana Cristina, first Hispanic to sing the National Anthem at a presidential inauguration;
— Sara Martinez Tucker, president and CEO of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund;
— Jorge Ramos, Emmy Award-winning journalist;
— Silvia Tcherassi, acclaimed fashion designer;
— Jorge Villamizar, lead singer and composer with GRAMMY Award-winning group Bacilos.
