KGLA 1540 AM Back On The Air In New Orleans.

KGLA 1540 Tropical is pleased to be back on the air since Hurricane Katrina hit. Because we are concerned about reaching our local Hispanic counterparts, since September 4th KGLA has been the only Spanish-speaking station on the air providing 24-hour continuous news coverage on the latest about Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita in the gulf coast. As the city begins to once again show signs of revival, many citizens of Hispanic descent, have come back into our city. The overwhelming number of people unemployed right now is high as is the demand to fill those positions in and around town.

As a result of this natural disaster, on a daily basis KGLA receives hundreds of calls from our listeners inquiring about every thing from work opportunities to searching for friends and relatives. In order to keep providing these important services KGLA is seeking the support of advertisers to help the KGLA team adhere to its commitment. KGLA 1540 Tropical Caliente is committed to fostering Hispanics with the most accurate information in the metropolitan area and hopes that you may join us in this collaborative effort so that together we may quickly bring back a thriving community.
