Univision KMEX-TV ‘El Grito 2005’.

Univision flagship station Univision 34 KMEX-TV produced and broadcast a program commemorating “El Grito” – Mexico’s declaration of independence from Spain.

This year’s program, “El Grito 2005,” comprised of a one-hour televised special featuring live entertainment, including Univision Music recording artists Mariana Seoane, Jimena and Los Elegidos (the “Entertainment”), and a re-enactment of Mexico’s battle cry for independence (the “Ceremony”). The event was held on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall on Thursday, September 15, 2005 and was broadcast on a tape-delayed basis from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Savings Time over the Univision Networks.
