Pallares – Senior Art Director @ Lápiz.

Lápiz Integrated Hispanic Marketing, a Chicago-based Hispanic advertising and marketing agency, has recently hired Sebastian Pallares as a new Senior Art Director. Born in Buenos Aires, Pallares had previously worked for several hot advertising agencies and design shops for clients such as Lloyd’s Bank, Principal Financial Group and Cartoon Network before coming to Lápiz.

His eagerness to grow led him to the School of Visual Arts in New York. There he perfected his art direction and designed techniques. While attending the Miami Ad School, Sebastian spent a year in South Beach getting an outstanding portfolio. The following year, he was chosen among his peers to represent the school in different agencies in cities like Minneapolis, Ruiz Nicoli Madrid, *S,C,P,F… Barcelona and McCann-Erickson San Francisco. Shortly after graduation, he worked at FURIA in Miami on projects for MTV Latin America, Big magazine and Discovery Networks.

Sebastian started working for the U.S. Hispanic Market when he joined Dieste Harmel and Partners in 2002. He produced successful campaigns for Gatorade, Lay’s, Doritos, Tostitos, Glad, JC Penney and Pepsi’s Sierra Mist; some of them so effective that they were used in the general market.

In 2004, Sebastian was selected to represent the U.S. Hispanic Team in the Young Creative Competition in Cannes, France. It was the Hispanic market’s first representation at the festival which earned him a Silver Lion. Sebastian was a finalist in the London International Awards and has also received Creativity Awards and Andy’s.
