Sí TV’s ‘The Drop’ Kick Starts Third Season September 19th.

“The Drop”, Sí TV’s number one watched show, kicks off its third season Monday, September 19th with the addition of new host Eric Cubiche. The premiere episode features the diva duo Nina Sky as they perform their smash hit, “Turnin’ Me On” and talk about the ups and downs of sudden fame. Funny-man Anthony Anderson also talks about his latest movie Hustle and Flow.
“As our number one rated show, ‘The Drop’ continues to entertain viewers through interviews with Hollywood’s movers and shakers like actor Wilmer Valderrama and performances by music pioneers such as Ivy Queen,” says Jeff Valdez, Sí TV’s chairman and co-founder. “‘The Drop’ has a winning formula that night after night attracts more viewers than any other show on the network.”
The music variety show – which airs at 5 PM EST/PST, features live studio performances from a range of musical genres, celebrity interviews, heated MC battles, hotly contested DJ battles, and head-to-head dance competitions. “The Drop” launches its third season with newly added host Cubiche and guest host T. Lopez, along with returning hosts Jelynn Rodriguez and Jose Antonio.
As a DJ and co-host of the “B-syde Show” on Los Angeles hip hop station KKBT 100.3 (The Beat), Cubiche brings his insider knowledge of the urban music scene. Cubiche will be doing double duty as the host of “The Drop” and “Across the Hall,” Sí TV’s vid-com series; part music video show, part sitcom show.
The new season will be entertaining viewers through August 2006. Season three will include interviews and performances by today’s brightest stars including Wilmer Valderrama, reggaetón phenomenon Ivy Queen, hip hop duo Ying Yang Twins, Constance Marie from “The George Lopez Show”, award-winning actor Gina Torres who is starring in Josh Whedon’s upcoming film “Serenity”, and Antonio Sabáto Jr. from CBS’ The Bold and The Beautiful.
Past guests on “The Drop” include Eva Longoria, Ricardo Chavira and Emmy nominee Lupe Ontiveros (Desperate Housewives), America Ferrera (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), Carlos Mencia (Mind of Mencia), Judy Reyes (Scrubs), Freddie Rodriguez (Six Feet Under), R&B crooner Frankie J., and reggaetón heavy hitter Daddy Yankee.
