Traveling Movie-Theater Features Mexico’s Golden Age Of Cinema.

Via a state-of-the-art 18-wheel mobile movie theater, The Hispanic Film Heritage Tour is bringing free showings of classics from Mexico’s golden age of cinema to movie lovers in the Washington, D.C. area. The tour of film classics featuring Pedro Infante, the most beloved star in the history of Latin American cinema, will visit sites in Silver Springs, MD; Woodbridge, VA; Manassas, VA; Falls Church, MD; and New Carrollton, MD, Thursday, August 18 through Tuesday, September 20.

The Hispanic Film Heritage Tour features films made by famed Mexican producer and director Ismael Rodriguez, starring movie legend Infante, including, “Los Tres Huastecos,” “Vuelven los García,” “Nosotros los Pobres” and “Qué te ha Dado esa Mujer.”

The mobile theater, or cineteca, will tour supermarkets in the Washington D.C. area with free showings as part of “Disfruta un Verano de Película” (enjoy a summer of films), sponsored by leading tortilla distributor, Guerrero. The cineteca is a complete movie experience that offers the public an opportunity to see these classics as they were meant to be seen – on the silver screen. The cineteca includes a cinetransformer – an impressive 18-wheel trailer transformed into a 95-seat movie theater featuring the latest technology. The theater will include high-definition projection, digital surround sound, as well as air conditioning, concession stands and restrooms for the complete comfort of movie audiences.

In addition to the free film screenings, audiences will also have the opportunity to receive free promotional items and product samples, or purchase DVDs, videos and related merchandise from the film library.

“We are pleased to be able to offer our consumers the opportunity to see and experience these classics of the Mexican cinema. We know those who grew up with them and love them will delight in introducing these movies and stars to new generations,” said Porfirio Rodriguez, Senior Brand Manager for Guerrero.
