People En Español’s ‘Best & Worst Dressed’.

People en Español’s top-selling franchise issue – the “Best & Worst Dressed,” hits newsstands on Monday, August 1 capturing the hottest and most-talked about fashion moments of 2005. From Hollywood’s most-fashionable trendsetters to televisions sexiest stars, the “Best & Worst Dressed” issue delivers 180 plus pages of divas & fashionistas and is packed with latest celebrity-inspired fashion and beauty trends.

For the first time ever, the magazine ranks the top ten “Best Dressed” male and female celebrities. At the forefront of fashion are Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who share the number one spot on People en Español’s “Best Dressed” list.

“Our goal was to select from the massive pool of celebrity trendsetters,” says Richard Pérez-Feria, editor of People en Español. “Our top picks confirm that real fashion and beauty transcends any language and/or cultural barriers.”

Joining Jolie and Pitt on the “Best Dressed” list are Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria, Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, Fantastic Four’s Jessica Alba, Mexican actress Salma Hayak, Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino, Reggeaton sensation Daddy Yankee, That 70 Show’s Wilmer Valderrama, entrepreneur Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, actor Jude Law and Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez.

Mega superstars Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were named “Best Dressed Couple” by the magazine’s fashion judges.

The much-anticipated issue also features fashion victims whose choices in 2005 earned them a spot on People en Español’s “Worst Dressed” list. Leading the pack are Mary-Kate Olsen, Kelly Osbourne, Michael Jackson, Kevin Federline and David Bisbal.

Additionally, the “Best & Worst Dressed” issue received a fashion makeover of its own with the addition of several new sections including “Divas & Designers” and “Five Women to Watch.”

The latest trend in Hollywood is, no doubt, the budding romance between notable celebrities and today’s hottest designers. “Designers and Divas” profiles top couples such as Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera & actress Renee Zellweger, Cuban-American designer Alvin Valley & Mexican singer Paulina Rubio and Cuban-American designer Narciso Rodriguez & Brazilian actress Sonia Braga.

People en Español’s editor’s choice for the “Five Women to Watch” — all time divas who have had major fashion transformations in 2005– include Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Christina Milán, Nicole Richie and Olga Tañón.
