El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2005 Looking For Entries.

Until July 25th 2005 the VIII edition of the Award and International Festival El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2005 is open for entries. The awarding ceremony will take place next November 7th, 8th and 9th at the Hilton Buenos Aires hotel.

The International Festival El Ojo de Iberoamérica aims to recognize the best work and achievements of the professionals and companies who contribute with their solid, continuous and innovating work, to the development and improving of the advertising activity in their countries, while positioning Ibero America as a creative force among the advertising world market.

The International Award El Ojo de Iberoamérica is an annual recognition to the performance and achievements of those who work to make Ibero American advertising better every day to take a privileged place in the world-wide scene.

As every year, in 2005 El Ojo will confer A Year time Achievement Award to acknowledge the best in the following categories: Best Agency, Best Creative Director, Best Production Company, Best Advertising Film Director, Best Advertiser and Best Media Network. It will also award the Best Works by Product Category in TV/Film and Press, Radio and Outdoor; the Best Creativity and Innovation on the use of the Media; and the Best Interactive Works. The festival also has special prizes such as Cinecolor/LatinSpots Award to the Best Post-production of Ibero America, Award to the Best Advertising Postcards of the World, and the Award to the New Talents of Ibero America.

El Ojo de Iberoamérica sees beyond. It sees deeper. Further. It does not stop at the pieces; it awards the achievement of those who give life to the ads. It does not only embrace creativity but also covers, with a global view, the different aspects of advertising, entertainment, new and innovative formats and communication.

That’s why El Ojo de Iberoamérica organizes a Prize, an Exhibition and the International Conferences about Creativity, Innovation and New Ways in Advertising, Marketing and Entertainment that reunites the most outstanding speakers of the region and the world. This constitutes a unique meeting and qualification space for the professionals of the industry.

In 2004, some of the most important voices of the world-wide advertising scene like Neil French, Bob Scarpelli, Mark Waites and Adrian Holmes exposed and debated on Creativity, Innovation and New Ways in Advertising, Marketing and Entertainment in front of more than 3000 people.

Some of the speakers for the 2005 Conference Program, among others, are David Droga, worldwide creative director of Publicis Groupe; Khai Tham Meng, regional creative director and co chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific; Walter Susini, advertising director of Coca Cola for Latin America; Marcello Serpa, chairman and executive director of Almap BBDO; and Carlos Bayala, a creative that showed the world how to make good advertising in Latin America from its experience in Argentina. Now he is back in the region to establish the Latin office for Mother. Bayala worked in Mother London and also at Wieden + Kennedy Pórtland for Nike.

Year after year, El Ojo de Iberoamérica has contributed to the development and consolidation of the advertisers of Ibero-America.

Another characteristic that differences the festival is the jury organization, in which “the best ones choose the best ones”. The most prestigious professionals of the advertising industry and personalities of each one of the countries that integrate the region choose the best professionals and pieces of Ibero-America. The voting is made completely through the Internet, which guarantees a genuine and transparent prize, since each jury votes on line and secretly.

El Ojo “sees further” is an invitation to observe the creative work of the participant countries through the different exhibitions that are made during the festival’s three days.

For the Special Award to the Best Advertising Postcards El Ojo de Iberoamérica has extended the call to countries around the world, once again to support and contribute to the development of new Media. This way, El Ojo becomes the first International Festival that incorporates this category to be awarded.

The inscription can be made until July 25th 2005 at www.elojodeiberoamerica.com, where you can find all the instructions to register, enter all the data and submit the materials.

This way, LatinSpots, the leader Media dedicated to creativity and communications of Ibero-America, continues with its goal: to contribute to improve Latin American exchange, to promote its ideas, works, people and companies, and to collaborate with the construction of a Latin glance of the reality and the world-wide advertising. Plus, through the VIII Edition of El Ojo de Ibero-America -recognized as one of the most dynamic festivals- it continues to award and recognize the performance and trajectory of the best professionals and companies of the region.
