Reggaetón Week On Sí TV.

As the reggaetón craze sweeps the country, Sí TVfeatures some of the genre’s hottest artists on five of its shows for a week-long Fourth of July reggaetón celebration.

Reggaetón, which has been brewing in the underground clubs of Puerto Rico for several years, has only recently exploded in the U.S. Today radio stations in major urban centers like Los Angeles and New York City are cropping up to fill the demand for this music, which can be best described as a blend of reggae, hip hop, and Latin rhythms.

All week Sí TV will feature the genre’s leading names including an episode of “Across the Hall” dedicated entirely to Tego Calderon – one of the genre’s most influential artists, a phenomenal performance by the genre’s hottest act, Daddy Yankee on “The Drop,” and interviews with the Queen of reggaetón – Ivy Queen on “Urban Latino TV,” and Notch on “LatiNation.” Additionally, Lenox, one half of the top Latin duo Zion y Lennox, makes a special appearance on the “Reggaetón All Stars” episode of “Across the Hall” and shares his thoughts on Tego Calderon, Ivy Queen, Don Omar and Daddy Yankee.

“Reggaetón is by far the hottest music trend on the radio,” says Jeff Valdez, Sí TV chairman and co-founder. “It represents just how influential Latino culture has become in the U.S. and Sí TV is at the forefront of bringing this growing trend to our viewers.”
