Spanish-language broadcast network TeleFutura today unveiled an expanded 2005-2006 programming schedule at its fourth annual Upfront presentation. This season, TeleFutura’s total day viewership levels reached record highs among the coveted Adult 18-34 and 18-49 demographics.
“Our young audience has embraced TeleFutura’s mission to provide original, new programming choices that relate to their lives,” said Bert Medina, Senior Vice President and Operating Manager of the TeleFutura Network. “Our strategy of offering added choices to appeal to the diverse tastes within the Hispanic community is working, with more viewers watching our network in primetime and total day than ever before. We’ve already become the #2 Spanish-language network in total day among young Adults, and with the debut of ‘En Vivo y Directo,’ our primetime news and information program, in addition to blockbuster movies, we expect the Network to reach new milestones in its quest to become the country’s #2 Spanish-language network overall.”

” “En Vivo Y Directo” is a primetime news program that gets to the heart of the events that shape our lives. “En Vivo Y Directo” blends breaking news and information — presented in a contemporary multi-faceted format — from TeleFutura’s digital, state of the art broadcast center brought to viewers from around the world. (Monday-Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET)
Movies
TeleFutura makes every night ‘movie night’ with its 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. ET star-studded movie block, “Cine de las Estrellas.” Each night brings a different hit in primetime from the largest, most complete film library ever assembled for Spanish-language television. The entertainment continues on weekends as well, with “Cineplex” airing the blockbuster movies featuring the biggest Hollywood stars. Titles scheduled for next year include “Good Will Hunting,” “The Silence of the Lambs,” “Shakespeare in Love,” “Patriot Games,” “The Firm,” “The Pelican Brief,” and “Original Sin,” among others.
Novelas
TeleFutura is home to the best family-oriented novelas, and the 2005-2006 season brings another hit to its lineup in early fringe.
