17th Annual Hispanic Achievement Awards.

R. Panigua, Inc. announced that they will be honoring the New York City Board of Education’s top Hispanic students on May 4th and 7th during the 17TH ANNUAL HISPANIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS program sponsored by Pioneer Supermarkets and Met Food Markets, Western Union, Pay-O-Matic. and NY Presbyterian Hospital.

On Wednesday, May 4th, those students selected by their teachers and principals to receive this year’s award are invited, along with two guests, to attend the Gala Awards Dinner Ceremony at The Bronx Supreme Court House in the Bronx from 6 to 9 PM.

Then, on Saturday, May 7th, the honorees will be recognized—before their families and all the fans—on the field at Yankee Stadium during an on-field presentation before the start of the 1:05pm game between the Yankees vs. Oakland Athletics.

Students are selected by his/her teacher and principal as the Top Hispanic student from their school from grades 5th thru 8th grade. The honorees are nominated for their excellence in scholarship, leadership and attendance, while exhibiting a positive attitude towards the importance of education.

The Certificate of Achievement presented by the Bronx borough President becomes a permanent entry in each student’s Permanent Record at the Board of Education.
