Sí TV Announces New Original Shows For 2005/2006 Upfront.

Sí TV has announced the addition of nine new original shows to its programming lineup ranging from “reali-mentaries” to sketch comedy. The addition of these new shows raises the total amount of original programs offered by the year-old network from ten to nineteen.

Sí TV chairman and co-founder Jeff Valdez commented, “These new programs follow in the Sí TV tradition of delivering edgy, unpredictable, and irreverent content to viewers. We are proud to be able to offer these signature programs that will help us continue to build and keep our base of loyal viewers.”

Senior Vice President of Ad Sales for Sí TV, Steve Levin added, “The new shows offer advertisers new and unique opportunities to reach this valuable market of assimilated Latinos who represent 60% of Hispanic spending. And because these shows, and all of our programming, are entirely in English, they have the potential to generate greater audience appeal that will resonate with the general market.”

The new shows include:

L:L, Laugh Out Loud – “L:L, Laugh Out Loud” exposes today’s fresh new faces of comedy as they perform sketches before a studio audience. Infused with fresh characters and thought-provoking wit, “L:L, Laugh Out Loud” delivers the new faces of sketch comedy for Generation Sí.

Fish Outta Water – A group of pencil necked geeks are transplanted from their paper-pushing jobs to the great outdoors. Armed with nothing but their natural instincts, these men are challenged by some sexy, sassy outdoors women who put these city slickers through the rigors of the great outdoors.

Friend or Fan? – Find out more about your favorite celebrities than you ever bargained for with “Friend or Fan?” — a fun-loving game show that lets you discover who knows a celebrity best: the celebrity’s closest friend or ultimate fan?

Party With Miss Bacardi – Model, socialite, and Bacardi Heiress Carolina Bacardi hosts this behind-the-velvet-ropes look at the glitz and glamour of Hollywood nightlife. The parties, the modeling, the red carpets; it’s the high life exposed as only an insider can show!

Jammin’- Musical dreams will come true on Jammin’, a “reali-mentary” series that takes up and coming garage bands and gives them a once-in-a-lifetime chance to jam with their musical idols. Honest and unpredictable like the creative process itself, “Jammin'” aspires to appeal to the superstar in us all.

The Movie Twins – Developed specifically in response to Sí TV viewer’s appetite for the latest in movie news, Sí TV delivers a new 90-second sponsored interstitial segment called “The Movie Twins.” From behind the scenes to the red carpet, “The Movie Twins” cover showbiz like nobody’s business.

Road Whores – They say comedy is not pretty, well on this tour it’s not glamorous either! Sí TV invites you to roll with the “Road Whores,” a reali-mentary series about the adventures of three Latino working comics scraping out a living on a humbling tour of one-nighters. This is the world of stand-up comedy as you’ve never seen it: raw, unpredictable, and hilariously down and dirty.

SLAM – The first television competition to showcase a wide spectrum of the Urban Arts, SLAM exposes a brave new world of talented performers who will compete in freestyle rapping, dancing, spoken word, street art, and head-to-head comedy to see who’s got the ultimate street cred.
