Sí TV Expands Team.

The company has hired Dotty Ewing as Senior Vice President of Marketing; Mark Zelenz as Executive Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Eastern Region; Oscar Ordaz as Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Eastern Region; Lillian Casares as Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Western Region; Brenda Lacy-Davis as Executive Director of Affiliate Business Affairs; Jennifer Long as Account Manager, Western Region; and Karen Alcoba as Account Manager, Eastern Region.
Sí TV’s Chief Operating Office, Leo Perez commented, “Sí TV is synonymous with quality and these executives represent our continued commitment to great programming. The skills and experience that these executives are bringing to the network are invaluable, and they will be an integral part in growing our role as the leader in English language Latino programming.”

As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Ewing is responsible for creating and implementing a nationally marketing campaign to brand Sí TV as the premier television destination for English-dominant Latinos. Strategic campaigns cover consumer, affiliate, and ad sales initiatives. Most recently, she served as SVP, marketing and on-air promotions at Playboy Entertainment Group, where she led a team of 40 marketing, creative, and production associates in launching and marketing 15 cable networks.
“Sí TV is at the forefront of innovative marketing targeting the newest, fastest growing, and tech savvy acculturated Latino audience that we call ‘Generation Sí,'” said Ewing. “I’m excited to join Jeff Valdez and Leo Perez in this cutting-edge endeavor.”
As Executive Director Zelenz manages a New York-based sales team and oversees distribution and local marketing activities in the territory. He brings 15 years experience in distribution sales to his position, most recently with Bloomberg Television Cable and Satellite Sales, where he successfully orchestrated Bloomberg’s transformation into a widely distributed digital network.
Ordaz joins Sí TV as Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for the Eastern region with over ten years of cable marketing and sales experience. In his new role, he is responsible for large system and regional MSO distribution and marketing activity. Prior to joining Sí TV, Ordaz was Director of Affiliate Marketing at NBC Universal Cable, targeting NBC’s Hispanic networks, Telemundo, and mun2.
As Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for the Western region, Casares bring over 14 years of experience in both national and regional sales, marketing, and contract negotiations. She will oversee distribution and marketing strategies in the Western region to enhance awareness of Sí TV. Prior to joining Sí TV, she was based in St. Petersburg, Florida as the Director of Affiliate Sales, National Accounts for HSN. In her national accounts role, Casares she was in charge of distribution, marketing, and strategic account planning for HSN and America’s Store networks.
Lacy-Davis has been brought on as Executive Director of Affiliate Business Affairs, negotiating the Sí TV distribution agreements with cable and satellite distributors. Formerly Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for FoxFamily Channel, she brings her sharp negotiating skills to Sí TV. Lacy-Davis ensures that the distribution agreements maximize distribution opportunities and are responsive to the changing climate of cable/satellite television. In addition, she will collaborate with the national sales team to further the distribution goals of Sí TV in 2005 and beyond.
Jennifer Long joins Sí TV as Account Manager for the Western Region. She was most recently account manager with MTV Networks in Los Angeles where she was responsible for the distribution of Viacom’s networks in the western region.
Karen Alcoba comes to Sí TV as Account Manager for the Eastern Region. She comes to us from Elsevier, a global, multiple-media publisher of scientific products and services where she was responsible for leading the development of sales capacity training, strategies, and tactics for the North America and South America sales divisions.
