Martínez & Mogollón Join Telemundo.

Telemundo Network’s COO, Don Browne, announced the appointment of two new executives in the West Coast; Augustine “Augie” Martínez joins as VP, West Coast Strategy and Diana Mogollón as VP of Programming and Marketing – West Coast. Martínez reports directly to Browne, while Mogollón reports to both, Ramon Escobar, Executive Vice President of Programming and Production and Michelle Bella, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Promotions. Both of the new executives will be based in Los Angeles, California.
“Augie’s and Diana’s arrival to Telemundo is part of our ongoing commitment to increase our visibility and presence in the Los Angeles market,” said Browne. “Their knowledge and experience will be an invaluable tool in helping us develop strategies and plans to better serve our viewers in the largest Hispanic market in the country.”
In his new role at Telemundo, Martínez will be responsible for establishing and implementing a strategic link for the network to the west coast market and viewers. He will analyze the competitive Los Angeles marketplace and provide strategic insight and guidance to develop Programming, Marketing, Research and Public Relations plans, among others, for that specific market.
Mogollón will serve as the primary Programming and Marketing executive in Los Angeles in charge of researching and analyzing emerging trends (music, fashion, entertainment, etc) in the West Coast marketplace; providing the Hialeah-based Network ongoing guidance and feedback to help develop initiatives.
Before joining Telemundo, Martínez was at Univision’s KMEX in Los Angeles (1993 to 2004) where he served as Vice President and General Manager. Prior to that, he was at Telemundo’s flagship station in Los Angeles, KVEA Ch. 52, as Station Manager, from 1989 to 1991, and then General Manager from 1991 to 1993. Earlier, Martínez held positions at Fox’s KTTV in Los Angeles, as well as at CBS’ WCAU in Philadelphia and KCBS in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Mogollón served as Vice President, Development, Sales, and Marketing for Galán Entertainment where she oversaw the company’s wide range of development, production, sales, and marketing activities across both domestic and international markets. She was associated with Galán Entertainment since 1995. Prior to that, she held coordinator roles with both Twentieth Century Fox and Lifetime Television.
