Leap Expands Its International Long Distance Calling Service.

In a move to make its Cricket wireless service even more customer friendly and affordable, Leap Wireless International, Inc. announced that it is expanding its international long distance (ILD) offering to more than 60 countries.

“Given our diverse customer base, we believe that expanded international access will be very rewarding since it gives our customers an affordable calling option to stay in touch with their friends and family,” said Al Moschner, senior vice president of Marketing for Leap. “Offering long distance to foreign countries outside Mexico and Canada, coupled with our highly competitive international rates, will appeal to a larger cross-section of the population. In addition to providing our customers added calling options, we also believe that the expanded ILD service will further serve as an additional revenue stream that will positively impact our average revenue per user (ARPU).”
