Telemundo & Rumbo Content Venture.

Telemundo and Rumbo newspapers announced they have entered into an exclusive content sharing and cross-promotional partnership in San Antonio, Texas. The newly-formed partnership will provide Hispanics in the San Antonio community with access to news stories developed from the combined resources of Telemundo’s up-to-the-minute broadcast coverage with Rumbo’s in-depth reporting.

“This partnership is an important accomplishment for Telemundo,” said Ibra Morales, President of Telemundo Station Group. “By coordinating our efforts, we’re able to bring Telemundo viewers and Rumbo readers the best coverage possible.”

As part of the strategic relationship created by Telemundo and Rumbo, Telemundo owned-and-operated KVDA-TV (Channel 60) in San Antonio will have access to in-depth stories that Rumbo writers are developing. In addition, Telemundo stations will be able to go directly into Rumbo’s newsroom during newscasts to update viewers on breaking stories.

“We are excited to be partnering with KVDA-TV in San Antonio,” said Schumacher Matos, CEO and General Editorial Director of Meximerica Media, the publisher of RUMBO. “This content and cross-promotion agreement enables us to expand our audience by providing the Spanish-language market a complete coverage of local and community news as well as in-depth national, international, sports and entertainment news coverage.”
