Puntos.com Licenses Smart Chip Technologies’ Loyalty, Stored Value & Gift Card Software.

Smart Chip Technologies announced that Puntos Inc. has licensed Smart Chip Technologies’ loyalty, stored value payment card, and gift card software solution through sales channel partner Retention Management Group.

“We chose SCTN’s robust software solution to empower the soon to be launched Puntos.com, because it gives us the ability to individualize programs to suit client needs and combine rewards offers from many merchants on a single card,” stated Puntos VP Thierry Franchois. “We intend for Puntos to become the world’s default loyalty reward currency for the 600 million-strong Hispanic speakers in the United States, Mexico, Spain, and throughout Central and South America.”

“This new, coalition-style Hispanic rewards scheme will take full advantage of the built-in e-llegiance(TM) and Loyalty Central support for multiple currencies, tenders, and full internationalization,” explained SCTN Corporate Communications Director Elaine Beavon. “Puntos.com has the potential to cross more geographic and industry boundaries, and to reach many more end customers than any SCTN project to date.”
