Mundo Universal Is The Industry’s First Dedicated Spanish Language Extranet.

Universal Music and Video Distribution (UMVD) will launch Mundo Universal, becoming the first and only music distribution company with a dedicated Spanish language extranet serving the retail and media communities. The announcement was made today by Jim Urie, President, UMVD.
Mundo Universal will serve as the ultimate online resource for retailers, enabling them to better serve the Latin community, and reinforcing UMVD’s commitment to Latin music. The new website will provide business partners with all of the Spanish language graphic and informational tools needed to reach that important demographic. The site will also include highlights such as radio airplay information; Latin bestsellers by genre; new releases displaying “Latin” covers; links to “The Latin Globe” and “The Latin Rep” newsletters; and a list of independent topsellers for Latin music.
