‘SUENO DE NAVIDAD’ @ Univision 41 In NYC.
November 22, 2004
The reporters and anchors of the area’s premier Spanish-language TV newscast, “Noticias Univision 41,” will get to play Santa’s helpers this year as they make the Christmas dreams of viewers come true. The results of their elfin efforts will be seen in Christmas Eve special program, “Sueno de Navidad” (A Christmas Wish), on Friday, December 24, 11 pm to 11:30 pm on Univision 41 WXTV.
“Noticias Univision 41” weekday anchors Rafael Pineda and Denisse Oller are hosts of “Sueno de Navidad,” a program for which viewers in need were asked to send letters to the TV station in which they spelled out their special wishes for the holiday. Of the thousands of letters were received at the Univision 41 studios, half-a-dozen lucky viewers were selected for a dream come true.
The wishes ranged from a mother who needed new clothes for her two children, both stricken with cancer, to an obese man who got a gastric bypass operation thanks to the Univision 41 “A Tu Lado” (On Your Side) hotline. His wish, which was granted, was for a gym membership so that he could continue to get in shape.
