Xbox Targets Hispanics For The Holidays.
November 6, 2004
Casanova Pendrill announced the launch of a new Microsoft Xbox Hispanic television advertising campaign beginning November 22, 2004. The effort consists of a :30 TV spot “Glider” which emphasizes the value of the Xbox bundle in the spirit of great holiday gift-giving for the entire family.
“Glider” starts with two men chatting. One of them boasts about the great bargain he found for his son’s holiday gift—a glider– while the other man indicates he bought the Xbox Holiday bundle and even paid a little more. The first man realizes too late he may not have found the bargain he thought when the glider flies though the window and starts knocking things down until the whole living room is in chaos.
“When thinking about this promotion, we wanted to make sure that consumers got the message that the Xbox holiday bundle is a great offer and that you get a lot for your money”, said Juan Oubiña, Creative Director for Xbox.
“We firmly believe that promotional spots don’t have to be boring”–said Elias Weinstock , VP General Creative Director—“and this is a great example”.
The campaign’s tagline is “It’s good to play together”.
The campaign was developed by Elías Weinstock, Juan Oubina and Gueri Segura and was produced by Soledad Vazquez Ramos. Francisco Pugliese with D’Avant-Garde Media directed the spot and it will air in top television Hispanic stations
