The International Kids Fund & Premios Fox Sports.

The International Kids Fund (IKF), a philanthropic program of the Jackson Memorial Foundation will once again share the spotlight with celebrities from the world of sports and entertainment as the official charity of choice for the second annual Premios Fox Sports, scheduled for December 15, 2004, at the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts in Miami Beach.

The yearly awards presentation recognizes the achievements of top US Hispanic and Latin America athletes and sports teams from soccer, baseball, basketball, boxing, motor sports, tennis and golf. The event, including the Red Carpet entrance of internationally renowned personalities and award nominees will be taped for editing into a two-hour show scheduled to broadcast on Fox Sports en Español and Fox Sports Latin America in January 2005. Premios Fox Sports will air at various times in January, reaching more than 20 million households throughout the United States and Latin America.

“IKF is honored that Premios Fox Sports has selected us as their charitable partner for a second time,” said Rosy Cancela, incoming Chairman of the IKF Board of Directors. “Last year’s event was exciting and fun for everyone and generated $100,000 with100 percent of the funds going directly to medical care for critically ill children.”

IKF works in partnership with Holtz Children’s Hospital of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center, one of the top-rated pediatric hospitals in the nation. To date, more than 125 children from Latin America and the Caribbean have received critical surgery, life-saving treatments and essential medical care through IKF, care not available in their counties of origin.

“Our relationship with IKF, an organization dedicated to saving young lives, adds an important dimension to our event,” said Raul de Quesada, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Fox Sports International. “We are proud to combine an outstanding awards show with support for an outstanding cause.”

In addition to a roster of celebrities from the world of sports, the star-studded evening will feature entertainment by acclaimed Latin artist Pablo Montero and rising pop star Sabrina, plus Diego Torres and Belinda.
