Proteus Scores Deal With Andres Cantor To Offer GOOOAL!.

Proteus, Inc., a creator and developer of mobile entertainment and a unit of Telitas US, Inc., has reached an agreement with Telemundo Network sports personality Andres Cantor to feature his famous “GOOOAL!” call as a downloadable ring tone for mobile phones.

“As we’ve seen through our experience creating wireless applications with FOX Sports, mobile phone users have exhibited a strong appetite for sports-related content,” said Russell Kagan, managing director of Proteus. “We’re excited to be making this unique and popular sports call available in the form of a ring tone. This is one of many unique content initiatives Proteus has initiated to reach out to the growing Hispanic wireless market.”

In addition to being the most recognized voice of soccer in America, Cantor has recently ventured outside the realm of sports broadcasting and programming. He has become a published author, he hosts a daily syndicated radio program, and is in the process of developing a prime-time reality series for Telemundo for which he will serve as executive producer and host. With this announcement, his voice can be heard not only on television and over the air via radio, but now on mobile phones world-wide.

Proteus will market “GOOOAL!” through its existing relationships with all wireless carriers in the U.S. It will also work with its global partners at Telitas AS and For-Side.com to bring the voice of Andres Cantor to mobile phone users throughout the world.
